

Jess Stroup is a composer and multi-instrumentalist known for his unique musical voice, use of live instruments, and textural electronics.
Making his feature film debut in 2014 at Sundance with Camp X-Ray, starring Kristen Stewart, Jess earned an honorable mention on Indiewire’s composers-to-watch list for that year. He subsequently scored Cardboard Boxer, starring Thomas Haden Church and Macy Gray, as well as the documentaries Hotline (featuring Miss Cleo), and the award-winning Man Vs. Snake: The Long and Twisted Tale of Nibbler.
In addition to his feature film and documentary work, Jess is a go-to collaborator, musician, and arranger for A-List Hollywood composers, contributing additional music and arrangements to blockbuster comedies such as Horrible Bosses, Ride Along, and Identity Thief. He has also served on music teams for TV shows such as ABC’s action-comedy Scorpion, The Bachelor franchises, and the SyFy shows Alphas and Warehouse 13.
He currently lives in a house full of musical instruments in Burbank, CA.
